Updated - IBL By-Laws and Playing Condition Ver 1.8 5th Mar 2018

The IBL By-Laws and Playing Conditions have been updated. Please ensure that these changes are communicated to all officials within your club. A Summary of the changes is shown below.

Revision 1.8 5th March 2018

  • Section 2 (d) – Reflect decision to align rule with BNSW policy of being 15 yrs old.

  • Section 6 (b) – Updated to reflect current coaching accreditation levels

  • Section 6 (c) – Update to reflect rep coaches should be Level 3 accredited.

  • Section 7 (a) – Reflect decision to change to 2 major league grades

  • Section 7 (b) – Part of change to 2 major league grades

  • Section 7 (f) – Clarify clubs can potentially share 2 major league grades

  • Section 13 (o) – Updated eligibility for finals from 3 to 5 games.

  • Section 13 (p) – Updated finals grading to be determined by majority of last 9 games (instead of 5 games previously).

  • Section 20 (f) – Modified to reflect a breach will incur a ‘loss of game’

  • Section 23 (d) (iii) (b) – Modified to minor league locks into the higher grade after doubling up 5 times (instead of 6 previously).

  • Section 23 (d) (iii) (c) – Modified to reflect breach incurs loss of game.

  • Section 23 (d) (vi) - Part of change to 2 major league grades

  • Section 23 (d) (x) – Added to cover penalty of ineligible players will result in loss of game.

  • Section 23 (e) (iii) – Updated to reflect the BNSW policy of alloy bats in minor league must have BBCOR stamp.

  • Section 23 (e) (v) – Updated to reflect no. of new balls to start game.

  • Section 25 (h) – Umpire fees increased from $50 to $55 from 2018 season
